  1. sequentially represents successive places and – if you want – visually connects them by lines.

(Examples:  if you want to show a trip through the USA and always want to have the sequence of the planned stations visualized, or if you want to show hotel guests a sequence of places that they can then start / approach as they like)

  1. a GPS tour is presented as a detailed track and can show places that are on or next to the tour. Your customers always see where they are along the tour.

(Examples: a hop-on hop-off bus provider can digitally display its bus routes, stops and sights, passengers can track them on their smartphone and always know exactly where they are and what is waiting for them at the next stop.  Bike or scooter rental companies can provide the most beautiful routes through the city to their customers. Create a new tour:

  • Go to the <Hamburger Menu> from the main menu
  • Click on <Lists/Tours>
  • Click the <Add Tour> button
  • There you land directly in the edit mode for your tour (you can switch between list and tour)
  • Give the tour a name and a short description text
  • Now define how you want to connect the points in your tour. The option you have chosen is displayed directly on the map:
    • No line – but the places are numbered in the order as you defined in the list
    • Straight lines – the individual tips are connected with straight lines in the sequence as you defined in the list
    • GPS data – here you can add an existing route (GPX or KML file) to the places of your tour. Your tips do not necessarily have to be on the route, but can represent options (e.g. hotels, campsites, restaurants… along the tour). Here is a tutorial on how to easily create a KML file directly on Google Maps. Alternatively, download it directly as a GPX from your tracking tool and embed it in your tour.

Tipp: You can create from any POI (Point of interest) a new tour by just selecting  add to <+List/Tour>. Instead of adding it to one of your existing list or tours you find the option on the lower right to .

  • Define the visibility of your tour (you, everyone). You can change this at any time later again.
  • Add an inspiring photo that visually represents your tour by pressing the <Add> button. You can change this at any time

Lists are fantastic and very helpful to organize your myLikes (and those of other users) by theme or target group (e.g. '24 hours in New York', 'Activities for kids', 'My favorite sushi restaurants'). They also form the basis for our innovative Map Widget, which allows you to convert your lists into interactive maps for your website or blog. You can create as many lists as you like and copy your own myLikes or the myLikes of others into them. You can copy one myLike into several lists.

A list has several characteristics that you can personalize

  • Theme list photo – choose a nice one as it will be visible when you split the list
  • Name of the list – short but inspiring
  • Description of the list – make it exciting for you and others
  • Visibility of the list – like a myLike you can define the visibility of a specific list to the outside

You can easily create lists in several ways:

Option 1

  1. open a myLike and click on <Add to list>
  2. then you can either add it to an existing list by tapping on it
  3. or you can create a new one by clicking on <Add List>

By default you see in myLike all tips from all users released to you. To select individual users or get tips from your friends or people you follow just click on <Select persons or companies> on the main map screen:

  • You can select from predefined groups (me, friends, following or world)
  • You can also choose multiple (!) users at the same time by just clicking on their names

Tipp: if you click on <friends> or <following> we list below the people you are befriended with or you are following. You can select multiple individual users from these groups to get their specific tips.

    • During the setup (or later) you can define (you need to let us know!) whether all users who have a link can see your content or only people who are invited via with their unique email address.
  • How can I revoke access to my platform?
    • You can revoke the access of an individual user anytime by deleting his e-mail address from your system.

Your configurable start screen allows you to provide your customers and guests with important information about your company, your services, your travel recommendations while providing the opportunity to up-sell your own services and cross-sell third-party services (rental cars, bike rental, e-Sims, insurances). It can also be used to place advertisements.

You can configure your start screen as Travel Hub or Digital Guest Directory

  • choose your own CI
  • add as many tiles as you want in multiple languages
  • decide what happens if a user clicks on a specific tile (see table below)
  • display advertisement
  • display useful information like weather

  • How to add your first tile to your startscreen:
    • Click <+Add Tile>
    • define the size and shape of each tile (you can select square, rectangular)
    • you can define the background color of your start screen
    • you can define the text (header and subtitle) of each tile in multiple languages
    • you can define the background of the text field
    • you can define the background of each tile – either color or picture
    • define the action which your tile should fulfill (see table below)
  • How to add more tiles?
    • click on the copy symbol on the lower right side of the respective content area of the tile you want to copy and modify the content of the new tile (you can also use <+add tile> but then you must change the colors manually)
  • How can you change the order of the tiles?
    • with the arrows on the left side of each tile you can move the tile's position up and down (each tile has a number)
  • How can I add another language?
    • you can also provide your starts-screen in multiple languages. If you already have selected other languages (e.g. for your comments) you find them above the first tile (the default language is the first one shown and is marked with little *).
    • add a new language option by hitting the <+> button on the right side of the first tile configuration screen. Changes here will be applied for the whole platform.
    • to edit another languages, just click on the language (en, esp, de…) – the screen will display the respective language configuration elements and a preview on the right side. A new language will be blank – you can create a new configuration or copy the content from another language by clicking . You need to change the text to the right language – but the links and everything can stay.
  • How can I save my setting?
    • while you enter content you should regularly hit (you can see the status on the right preview)
    • to release the changes to the public hit (you can see the status on the right preview)

If you are using the Mobile Concierge or Digital Travel Guide you can add your comments in multiple languages per single tip. This great for your international customers and guests.

You add to the Default language additional languages.
Default is the language which is always displayed in case there is not other fitting translated language for your customer provided by you.

Multilingual comments

Example: you want that all your customers/guests see your tips in englisch but the Italians should see it in Italian. Then you add your englisch comments in the Default field and you add Italian as add on language in the additional Italian comment field. Then Italians, using myLike in Italian (one of the languages the system works with), see your Italian comments.
A French or German person using myLike in French or German would get your Englisch comments – as there are no dedicated French and German comments from your side.

  • How to add comment languages?: Just click on the plus on the right corner of the comment field and a selection of languages will pop up. You can select multiple.
  • Is there an auto translate?: Unfortunately not yet – we recommend www.deepl.com to do your translations.
  • My language is not there?: You can always comment in the Default comment field in any language you want. Then you can add comment fields in other languages. If you want a language we do not have in the selection yet please contact us at: support@mylike.io.
  • Can I unselect a selected language?: Yes, go to <Hamburger/Settings/Comment languages>, there you can select and unselect languages.

No, myLike has for business users (not White Label) a special Guest Mode that allows your customers to see and experience your tips directly in your browser (as Progressive Web App = PWA). When a guest opens one of your links, he or she can decide to use this Guest Mode or to load myLike in the App Store.

Your customers, guests and audience can experience your tips right on their browser as Progressive Web App (PWA) without the need to download an App in the app stores.

If they click on one of your invitations, shared links for lsit,tours or places or 'load to mobile' on your interactive maps on your website they enjoy your tips right on their smart phone.

They can save your App directly on their homescreen following the instructions that pop-up when they open the link.

Desktop:
If the user opens your links on the desktop, he can either can scan a QR code or send a link to his smartphone himself to use it on his mobile. Alternatively, he can explore your tips directly on the desktop where your App gets emulated as PWA.

Yes you can do so. myLike is available as PWA (Progressive Web App) and can be integrated in any App or System (like Room Pads, Inflight-entertainment, Info-terminals, Robots…). Additionally you can integrate myLike as interactive map using our Map Widget. On request we can also provide an API.

One of myLike’s unique features is that it allows you to define per myLike or per list/tour who can see it. So your private beach stays private or only your friends or selected users can see specific tips. This means: depended of the relationship you have with a person they can see in myLike the tips and lists released for this level of relationship. You can define this during the creation of a myLike or list or change the setting anytime later again.

Me’                 –          only you can see it, nobody else

Friends’       –          only you and befriended users can see it

Followers’  –          you, friends and your followers can see it

World’          –          everybody in myLike can see the tis or list or tour

Tip: if you share a myLike or list directly via mail or other communication channels the recipient of this unique link can see it independent of the visibility setting.
